5-3 Rangers now. BoCro actually avoided the roll-over on the outside fastball.

"Don't worry..."
“We’re playing the A’s.”
"Hasn’t the foggiest inclination toward winning ‘tall. Hates to win. Likes to be buggered."
At least he's not a poo-flinger
hopefully, that is

Frank Francisco

Didn't he have arm problems?

Just about three feet short, Bobby.

That was my best Joey Lawrence.

Devine inning for Joey
More runs, please.

1st pitch, 2nd pitch, no difference from Ellis of late
All he seems to do is pop the ball up of late.
He always seems to have a good second half but boy he sure kills some potential good rally’s in the first half
Looking at it from the other side...
when you have the worst pitching staff and the worst defense in baseball, a 2-run lead going into the 8th inning does not feel even remotely comfortable.
Wilson's pretty good.
And Francisco looks pretty tough tonight

Not only that, he looked comfortable doing it
And he did the two out sign quite casually as well, like he’s used to catching balls and making signs

man i still think i need to be pinched, that’s a little surreal for me

Do something to prove your .300 OBP is worth it
Fail

I was going to call back-to-back-to-back
but I was too slow.

Crosby's off-balance in his swing again
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
A's offense this inning

I guess I don't understand
what a picture of a lovely young woman in a nice hat has to do with this baseball game.
The candy and the baseball all night long :)
I guess I need to post a Fail-shot of myself

Another Saturday night and I ain’t got nobody
I’ve got some money ‘cause I just got paid
Now, how I wish I had someone to talk to
I’m in an awful way
...
I got in town a month ago
I seen a lot of girls since then
If I could meet ‘em I could get ‘em
But as yet I haven’t met ‘em
That’s how I’m in the state I’m in
That 1-1 pitch to Crosby was the game tying HR
Probably the best shot we’ll have. Grrr…
I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal
He's too far from the plate again, so he's diving again and missed it
Notice how he nearly fell across the plate after fouling it back?
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
Lot of auto outs at the plate this weekend
They take Texas too lightly after playing the Angels
Look, it's Big Brown!
"And Julio Franco is batting right-handed!" -- Wayne Hagin, A's radio play-by-play, mid-80s
I'm watching this on EI...
Y’know, I can listen to Hawk, or the the tools who do the Angels broadcast, but the only feed I mute is Texas. I can’t stand the little play-by-play turd. All he does is chatter nonstop, and almost everything out of his mouth is completely inane. The A’s being behind the entire game just adds to my irritation with this mouthy little jerk.
Wow, that was a long HR

As if it wasn't going to happen sooner or later.
I was getting REALLY sick of Fosse talking about how Brown and Casilla haven’t given up any runs. It’s like they were trying to jinx them.
Let's face it - pretty good time for it

Good night
It’s lousy baseball, and fuck all of it I have to see Chelsea Clinton abused to. GROW UP!!
95mph dead ass straight and Jackie can't even come close to it.
Hannahan is really not a very good hitter.
I would have liked to see Barton PH for Hannahan rather than Davis
even if we wouldn’t have a third baseman if it went to extras.
I don't think it would've mattered much
"Evidently, a large number of people said, 'We really need more vermin at the ballpark, Artie.'" - Nick (AN), 10/7/07
I guess they were thinking they didn't want Barton to play 3B
Of course if that ever came to matter, it would be extra innings

Trying to look on the bright side....
Does this make it a little less likely Wash gets fired?
The candy and the baseball all night long :)
Rangers are 6-2 since the rumors about him started in earnest
Maybe someone should talk about firing Geren to get the A’s going again.

I hope the A's show up tomorrow
Last two nights have been brutal.

GERG will save us!
Please.

Best way to describe this is those that went to the last two games in Oak
should get a refund
A pathetic 2 evening display.
Go A’s tomorrow
I switched over to the Japanese soap opera on KTSF
and immediately saw this subtitle:
If we sell our farm and succeed at crab futures trading, we can have the good life!
Here’s to tomorrow and the good life!
The candy and the baseball all night long :)
Well that was a frustrating game to watch.
Unlike yesterday, where you actually felt we could come back and win, this time you knew it was over early.
pam5981: Patience is a virtue that I do not possess.
ohtobe21likehuston: But you're good at drinking and cussing. Two out of three ain't bad.
I want the A's to win as much as anyone
But as soon as I saw Gaudin not being able to put Milton away with 2 strikes and then the 3 run bomb, he gave up, I said to myself, “Game Over”
Of course I watched the whole game and of course I wanted the team to come back but with this team you usually know deep down that there is NO chance because after watching the hitters the last two nights, you wonder how they score runs at all but they do.
Tomorrow we face another gascan and they better win. Angels have it real easy tomorrow with Steve Trachsel going and I looked up his stats and they bat better than Ted Williams against him on the past and since Trachsel sucks 99 percent of the time, I see no reason why they will not pound him again.
Maybe Saunders will get rocked
Recap is up!
