Yes

5-3 Rangers now. BoCro actually avoided the roll-over on the outside fastball.

1st pitch, 2nd pitch, no difference from Ellis of late

All he seems to do is pop the ball up of late.

He always seems to have a good second half but boy he sure kills some potential good rally’s in the first half

by Trainman on May 3, 2008 8:10 PM PDT up reply actions

Dern it we need a win bad

Last night hurt, and now this. Come on, Oakland!

by paradox on May 3, 2008 8:08 PM PDT reply actions

Looking at it from the other side...

when you have the worst pitching staff and the worst defense in baseball, a 2-run lead going into the 8th inning does not feel even remotely comfortable.

by Soaker on May 3, 2008 8:11 PM PDT up reply actions

Wilson's pretty good.

And Francisco looks pretty tough tonight

by WaddellCanseco on May 3, 2008 8:12 PM PDT up reply actions

Did Cust really just catch another ball or did I hallucinate?

by justarebelheart on May 3, 2008 8:13 PM PDT reply actions

Not only that, he looked comfortable doing it

And he did the two out sign quite casually as well, like he’s used to catching balls and making signs

man i still think i need to be pinched, that’s a little surreal for me

Another Saturday night and I ain’t got nobody
I’ve got some money ‘cause I just got paid
Now, how I wish I had someone to talk to
I’m in an awful way
...
I got in town a month ago
I seen a lot of girls since then
If I could meet ‘em I could get ‘em
But as yet I haven’t met ‘em
That’s how I’m in the state I’m in

That 1-1 pitch to Crosby was the game tying HR

Probably the best shot we’ll have. Grrr…

He's too far from the plate again, so he's diving again and missed it

Notice how he nearly fell across the plate after fouling it back?

I'm watching this on EI...

Y’know, I can listen to Hawk, or the the tools who do the Angels broadcast, but the only feed I mute is Texas. I can’t stand the little play-by-play turd. All he does is chatter nonstop, and almost everything out of his mouth is completely inane. The A’s being behind the entire game just adds to my irritation with this mouthy little jerk.

As if it wasn't going to happen sooner or later.

I was getting REALLY sick of Fosse talking about how Brown and Casilla haven’t given up any runs. It’s like they were trying to jinx them.

I like having Davis in CF

But I hope they PH Barton for him. Even against Wilson.

by WaddellCanseco on May 3, 2008 8:34 PM PDT reply actions

I would have liked to see Barton PH for Hannahan rather than Davis

even if we wouldn’t have a third baseman if it went to extras.

by HigherPie on May 3, 2008 8:38 PM PDT up reply actions

I don't think it would've mattered much

I guess they were thinking they didn't want Barton to play 3B

Of course if that ever came to matter, it would be extra innings

wasn’t embarrassing like last night.

by IM4Oakgal on May 3, 2008 8:42 PM PDT up reply actions

Exactly.

These kind of games happen to all teams occasionally but games like last nights shouldn’t happen to a professional team.

Well that was a frustrating game to watch.

Unlike yesterday, where you actually felt we could come back and win, this time you knew it was over early.

pam5981: Patience is a virtue that I do not possess.
ohtobe21likehuston: But you're good at drinking and cussing. Two out of three ain't bad.

by pam5981 on May 3, 2008 9:10 PM PDT reply actions

I want the A's to win as much as anyone

But as soon as I saw Gaudin not being able to put Milton away with 2 strikes and then the 3 run bomb, he gave up, I said to myself, “Game Over”

Of course I watched the whole game and of course I wanted the team to come back but with this team you usually know deep down that there is NO chance because after watching the hitters the last two nights, you wonder how they score runs at all but they do.

Tomorrow we face another gascan and they better win. Angels have it real easy tomorrow with Steve Trachsel going and I looked up his stats and they bat better than Ted Williams against him on the past and since Trachsel sucks 99 percent of the time, I see no reason why they will not pound him again.

Maybe Saunders will get rocked
