New Billy Beane Interview Coming Next Week
I've been kind of quiet on AN lately, but never fear, when I'm quiet there is usually a good reason behind it. And it isn't because the A's have been sliding lately. I've been watching pretty much every game but I've been on the road.
Any way, I wanted to drop a quick line and let everyone know that you should still show up early next week. It's been a while since I checked in with Mr. Beane, so we had a ton of stuff to chat about. Everything from the rebuilding process to the surprise start his young team jumped out to.
Stay tuned. Now, back to transcribing.

I thought it was monkeyball's poetic interludes
that makes AN so special. To each his own, I guess.
I'm here to talk about the past.
I hope you did the interview before tonight's game
I would have feared for your life if you were in the room with him tonight…

Surprise starts are all well and good...
especially if the team could SUSTAIN the surprise.
Looking forward to reading the interview. :-)
It's probably shameful how excited I am to read this
I don’t know how I’m gonna quit you, baseball.

Beane never tells us much, IMO
but I enjoy the way he phrases the insubstantial into words….*8^))
Always a good read, the Beane interviews, and thanks so much in advance, Blez!
