Street has always been this good, and the reminder of that emphasizes how bad he’s looked in 1/3 of his appearances this year, and dominating 2/3 of the time and “no stuff” the other third is no good.

and he couldn’t ph anywhere else without royally screwing up the defense. Plus, Bowen is the worst hitter out there outside of Suzuki, so he’s the one it makes sense to ph for.

I do agree - one thing I've liked about Geren

is that he’s willing to worry about now instead of hypotheticals later. But to me, this was a waste of M. Sweeney anyway. I’d rather just hope Bowen gets into one and still have Sweeney available.

OK slam away at my optimism

but I’m EXCITED that if my nine have to lose, that the boys are losing on dumb mistakes like baserunning. That’s Sooooo fixable! Take away the stupid mistakes and the A’s defense makes them contenders even with weak bats. Wake up Cust and Thomas’ bats… and… well, lots of reasons for optimism in MAY.

A lot of those mental mistakes are killing us.

I hate having a two or three run lead only to see us squander it late into the ball game. It’s absolutely garbage.

Let’s hope Frank’s back to being the Bug Hurt again.
