Hey folks!

Kids in bed, and I’m just trying to deal with the shock of (a) the score and (b) the Bad Sweeney HR.

Did Sweeney manage to circle the bases without incident?

Actually its Spargelzeit!

But I wouldn’t wish cold Hollandaise on anyone.

Gruen or witte?

And to they call it “hollandaise” or are sauce names like “french kissing” and “the English disease”?

Weisse deutsche Spargel, natürlich!

And, yes, it’s “Hollandaise” here, too.

Good thing his life wasn't on the line

and he was only trying to move two runners up a base. Less pressure.

lowering expectations

I've come to the conclusion that the two most important things in life are good friends and a good bullpen.

that’s a bloop single if we’re on defense.

Indeed.

Why can’t we ever pick up a player like Mark Kotsay?

Yup - it looks like the Braves OF plays as shallow

as ours plays deep. I like their idea better, personally. Hopefully our inability to deliver the knockout punch won’t haunt us.

Why do you have to pitch like this? It’s only going to make it harder when you hit the DL again.

It was funny

when he called the cell phone waving fan in the front row a dork though.

I like them

I like their complaining about gas prices and I like that they mocked people on cellphones waving to their friends watching TV. “If you’re on the speaking to these people, tell them they look like dorks”. Nice.

about Kotsay back when he badmouthed Macha after the 2006 Playoffs.

Zito vs. Swisher on WGN

Zito looks like he’s sick. Swisher is batting sixth, so he should be up this inning.
