DLD 5/15: Let's Go A's. What? A Day game? They didn't hit well and lost?
Well that was fun. Well this DLD will no longer mention the Green and Gold, but it might actually mention the sport they attempted to play.
Poole should
stick to TV
HEY, MONTE Poole. Give it a rest. You and your white-bashing are getting old. If you feel cheated, just turn on the TV.
Maybe there aren't any blacks left to play baseball because they are all working in TV.
There is an African-American on 90 percent of the time — on shows, in commercials, even the Golf Channel. What more do you want?
How thin can you spread 13 percent of the population? Quit whining.

Gotta love the mailbag. What channel is Felix watching. BET isn't even 90% black.
Yesterday we seen a parent responsible for a childs stupidness, now we see a child being held responsible for an adult's stupidity.
Richard White said he was shocked when he got a subpoena in the mail requiring his 1-year-old son, Jacy, to appear in Rockingham County General District Court next Tuesday over a $391 chiropractor bill.

I'm thinking about moving to Seattle next year, actually.
I’ll pick your brain at a later date. When it’s not so hot, and I can think properly.

in the spirit of not talking about the A's...
I went to my first game of the year last night, and it was a Giants game, unfortunately. But it was free, and I just got back to the Bay, and it was baseball (or something like it), so it wasn’t too bad. I discovered that Kaz Matsui is on the Astros, as is Darin Erstad, who came in to LF in the 9th—his grittiness pervaded the stands as soon as he stepped on the field. I could just tell it was him. I also discovered that I have no idea who most of the Giants’ players are, and realized to my surprise that Ray Durham is still trying to play 2nd base… and trying unsuccessfully to stretch singles into doubles. Oh, I also didn’t know Yabu was on the Giants (I think I had my head buried in the snow for most of the offseason), but I did know Miggy would be playing for the Astros… even though he’s suddenly 2 years older, I still miss him.
All in all: the Astros won, the Giants lost, I got a free ticket and free food, and the out-of-town scoreboard graciously informed me that the Angels lost. Not a bad night.

Erstad's grittiness pervaded the stands =
Fans noticing him and starting the hilarious and underrated chant: “Urrrrrrrrrr staaaaaaad Urrrrrrrrr staaaaad”
Last I looked, Yabu was having a surprisingly good season. I bet he’s a favorite on McCovey Chronicles (sports blogs like this is where middle relievers are truly appreciated)

I'm listening now to the Rivercats game
against Salt Lake City (Angels’ AAA club). Buck is playing centerfield, and CarGon is in right. Petit is not in the starting lineup…is he hurt? Or on his way to Atlanta?

Petit might be coming up in place of Casilla
if Casilla goes to the DL.
Calero is sucking in AAA anyways. Blevins pitched tonight. Saars pitched tonight.

Wouldn't that leave the A's
with a 10-man pitching staff?
That would be kind of nuts. The A’s tomorrow would be down to Brown, Embree and a bunch of tired guys.
They have to get another pitcher up. Braden or Ziegler, I would think.
