What could be worse than your offense being absolutely SHUT DOWN for three straight games, you might ask?
Well, how about your number one reliever absolutely going down after throwing a pitch? Casilla served up a homerun ball and immediately left the field with an arm injury.
To say that is not good is an understatement.
Oh yeah, and it's 4-1 Indians as we go to the top of the eighth.

Ok I'm taking full responsibility for this one. When I wasn't watching the game the A's
loaded the bases and scored on a wild pitch. I start watching the game and the two Sweeney’s strike out.

Apparently they said on the radio that everyone on the team thinks Mike Sweeney
is the best hitter on the team.
Everyone except Geren I imagine.
Strikeout there or not, he is by far the best hitter on the team and needs to be in there until further notice.
Barton cannot hit his way out of a paper bag at the moment which is sad as we all think he is good but he need to ride the bench or go to AAA. You have to play the best hitter unless you want to score zip and get an “L” in the column everytime an As’ pitcher gives up 2 runs because when that happens the game is pretty much over unless the opposition throws the ball away 5 or 6 times a game.

Offense is terrible with no real solution in sight,
I mean yeah Getting Buck/Gonz/Chavy up would help. We still have a crap offense. Doolittle/Carter amoung a few other are years away. Doesnt look good for our offensive future.
