California Golden Blogs Coming on Board
Cal Bears fans rejoice! We're relaunching our Cal blog. The new blog is going to be called California Golden Blogs and it's located here .
The blog isn't up just yet, but it will be launching very shortly. I just got very excited because the new group of bloggers we have for this blog is finally going to really address the need for a quality Cal blog. The Bay Area is really strong with SB Nation blogs. Possibly the strongest area throughout the nation. Think about it. Grant writes for McCovey Chronicles and is possibly the best writer in the entire network. I can't stand the Giants and yet, I must read McCovey Chronicles because of Grant. That's power.
Golden State of Mind is one of the strongest communities anywhere. They have enthusiasm and have conducted many meet ups with their readers, one of which had more than 800 readers at one place at one time. Oh and the writing is brilliant too.
Niners Nation also features great writing from Fooch and Silver and Black Pride features the musings of the very popular saint here on AN.
There's also the San Jose Sharks blog Fear the Fin , which is really making some excellent strides. It's too bad the Sharks didn't follow. And finally, yes, it isn't the Bay Area, but we've got a great Sacramento Kings blog in Sactown Royalty where our very own louismg contributes.
Yes folks, SB Nation is strong in Northern California.

What happened to the previous CAL Blog?
The Band is out on the Field wasn’t it?

Yep and it wasn't being updated nearly enough
It wasn’t up to SBN standards. The writing was good when someone was there, but it just wasn’t often enough.

if we had usernames on the old blog, will they transfer over to the new one?

Just Curious.
Do you have any idea when the “Track Em’ Tigers” Auburn Tigers blog will be updated to the new format?
What about Barry?
"Barry who?" Forst said, and I felt like I was in the middle of a knock-knock joke.

Is there ever going to be a Stanford blog?
Not that I’m volunteering to write it… I’m way too flaky for that… but I’d undoubtedly have used it heavily this past season.

Pac-10 Teams
Any idea if/when you’ll be adding an Arizona State Sun Devil blog? It would be nice to have one for all Pac-10 teams.

I was wondering about that, as well.
I would love an ASU blog :)

Couple Options
Until an ASU site is added to SBN you can get your Sun Devil fix at two different sites.
Both sites off free message boards along with premium information. If you haven’t already checked them out you should.

goldenblogs
I’d noticed that Cal Golden Blogs was moving to SB Nation. They offer it all—in-game analysis, recruiting news, play-by-play explanations of strategy, and to top it off, they’re good writers. Excellent choice to move to SB Nation.
