Anybody going to the Braves game on Sunday?

I am going to be in Atlanta and am hoping to check out Turner Field.  Are the any other ANers who are planning on heading out for it?  I am not sure anybody else at the wedding I am going to is going to be interested, and I would love to watch the game with some fellows A's fans.  Even if not, I would love to get some advice about Turner Field -- good spots to sit, food to eat, other things to check out (if any) etc.

A's Vs. Braves

Actually myself along with 3 other friends will be going to all the games in Atlanta. When are you thinking of going to the game?

I live for the weekends!

I'll be there.

There aren’t exactly a ton of extra things to do at the park, but it’s kind of cool to go up to the Coca Cola Sky Field in upper left field. There is a huge coke bottle made out of baseball equipment, and you can get some good pictures of downtown ATL, if you’re into that sort of thing. More baseball related, there is a Braves museum in the park that is worth checking out if you’re there early. There aren’t really any bad places to sit, if you don’t want to spend a whole lot of money the left field area is pretty nice. There are no bleacher benches out there, so you have you own seat which is nice, and the view of the field and BravesVision HD screen are very good.

As far as food, there isn’t anything super special that stands out. I havn’t been to Turner yet this season, but in the past they have specialized in a bunch of different hot dogs. They are all pretty good, but there isn’t anything I feel is like a “must try.”

What about Barry?
"Barry who?" Forst said, and I felt like I was in the middle of a knock-knock joke.

SOUTHERN A'S FANS ROCK!

My wife and I ( #1 A’s fans from the Carolinas) will be there for the Friday and Saturday games in Atlanta. We will be sitting behind the visitors dugout on Friday and in the first row in right field corner on Saturday. I’d love to see other A’s Nations members there representing the A’s in Atlanta! Go A’s!

I'll be there for the Saturday game.

Field seats just past the visitor’s dugout. Hooray greenmachine! Nice to know there are other A’s fans around these parts. I reside in Greenville, SC.

Try the BBQ

There is nothing like good southern BBQ. Also when you are there go to the Mellow Mushroom Pizza in Buckhead (Atlanta). It is local joint that is sprouting all around the south. Best Pizza I have had out side of NY.

The best pizza in Atlanta is Fellini's Pizza on Peachtree in Buckhead

The mellow mushroom is a close second. if you want the best of southern food you have to check out Mary Mac’s on Ponce de Leon. They have the best homecooked southern food around here. The stadium does not have anything that i would say is a must have just your typical Aramark Concessions menu. If anyone needs to know anything about Atlanta or needs a ticket to the game on Sunday let me know…......Let’s Go A’s!!!

Still got that ticket?

WAC,

I got into town last night and just got a chance to check the site. Give me a call at (650) 274-3881 if you get a chance.

I'll be there & wearing the yellow hat ( the big yellow obnoxious foam one )

which I will give to the first A’’s fan who requests it.
Woohoo!!! Forgot where I’ll be sitting.

"We get two outs, and I was sure, and I had a plan, and I shook Tek off," Schilling said. "And I get a big 'What if?' for the rest of my life."
