Buck optioned to Sacramento

I just heard Geren on the pregame show announcing that Buck was taken off the DL, but optioned to Sacramento...not really a surprise. They want him to get into a real hitting groove before bringing him back, according to Geren.

Also, Calero is on a rehab assignment in Sacramento.

Charles Thomas?

Does anyone remember him? He played great for the Braves when he was called up for half a season, but when he was traded to Oakland in the Hudson deal he never really got steady playing time. He was sent down to AAA and they said they would bring him up once he got his swing back. Well, that never really happened. I sure hope that doesn’t happen to Buck.

What about Barry?

Buck is a MLB player

Buck has shown he can play in the majors while Thomas was a stiff (and his minor league numbers showed this). How Billy got hoodwinked into taking Thomas as part of the Hudson trade is beyond me. Why Charles was kept on the MLB roster is another wonder.
