PrintI just looked at the score of the Angels game on yahoo! and it says that Howie Kendrick left the game due to a jammed finger and Francisco Rodriguez left the game due to an ankle injury. It seems to me that the Angels may have gotten the injury hex that the A's had the last few years. Lackey, Escobar, Shields, and now these two! Next thing you know Vlad's car is going to get broken into and his passport, IPod and hand moisturizer will get stolen leaving him useless for two months. The division seems as wide open as it's been in years and I believe it's time for the Gonzalezeses to play and win!

Talk about a "one door closes, another opens"
scenario. The Angels are leading, then suddenly I see that they're losing..and then I see that Kendrick's hurt and K-Rod's hurt and I'm thinking "It IS their injury year - we're in the race!"
And then Harden...
Anyway, my bottom line has always been that sans Harden the A's just don't have enough to hang in there in 2008 and they haven't invented enough Gonzalez' to change that. So please let him have the flu!

I just got back from the game. I was rooting for the Indians, and despite the final score I could not have been happier because FRod totally sucked and blew the game and Vlad totally misplayed a ball in RF and it was like Christmas for me.
I kind of hope that FRod isn't actually hurt so he can suck some more and people will realize how lame he is.
Looks like we coulda
competed this year with Haren and Swisher. I still approve of the trades but we coulda won the west this year with all these injuries.
