Harden's rehab start

First off, does anyone know where to listen to the game (actually, on second thought, a link dump of all A's affiliate radio streams would be great).

I'm always nervous when Harden takes the hill, but what do you see as a success on Thursday? Because it's a rehab start, he'll probably be limited to 50 or 60 pitches here in the first one. I am hopeful he'll get through the whole limit, with good velocity and perhaps a few wicked sliders for variety, but if he's effective in this start would you like to see his next "rehab" appearance be in the form of an abbreviated start for the big club? Our starters seem to be doing fine in his absence, but it certainly would be good to see him back in the white spikes as soon as possible (even if he may only be playing as a showcase for some Beane dealing come the break).

I am probably in the minority in my thinking, most people think his few good

starts should be with the big club. I would like him to make 3 or 4 minor league starts, and get up to the full 100 pitch count. I don’t want him coming in and out of the rotation, messing up the rythm of the other pitchers who are throwing very well right now, because that might not last. Then when the bottom falls out, if Harden has proven he can last more than a week, the timing could be perfect.

his rehab start will be fine

it’s his big league starts that are of concern

He'll get through this rehab stint

And then have 3 starts and have to shut it down again. Seems like it’s the same old thing.

I'll take three starts.

Dude… that’s three whole starts!

...out of Rich Harden!

I think we should...

... have a pool for prediciting the day Harden goes back on the DL.

Some read stats. Fans actually watch the games.

Try these:

The River Cats website – www.rivercats.com

The FM station that broadcasts the games – www.khits921.com

Not sure if the station will break into the music programming for a mid-week day start, but it’s worth a try. Good luck!
