Changes need to be made

I agree that the A's marketing is terrible. I have been an A's ticket holder for several years now. Because of other responsibilties, I can only purchase the Sacrifice plan which only includes some weekday night games. Because someone in the upper decision making organization decided to open up the gate 1 1/2 hour (instead of 2 hours like it was in the past) we never get to see the A's batting practice, unless the Yanks or Red Sox are in town. This is ridiculous, and even more so, not televising a Sunday game. Radio sucks, TV schedule sucks. Get with it A's management!

... tells me the people running A’s marketing this year are around 14 years old. I’ve never seen a baseball marketing ploy that was such a disaster first time out. No one laughed, no one thought it was cool. First time out.

I agree with you about BP

They really should open the gate up earlier, especially on weekends so its easier for kids to get autographs. It seems like the gate is always open for the last 10 Min of A’s BP, and then you have to sit through the opposition taking their swings… Its little things like having letting fans watch a team take BP, that builds a dedicated fan base over the years. Every kid remembers forever that individual player that took the time to sign his ball or his hat. It really does build loyalty. How early do the Giants open the gate at SBC before home games?

I am excited to see this years marketing geared towards the history of the club. I can’t wait to get my Campy jersey this weekend!

Also, I smiled this morning when (for the first time this season) I listened to KNBR. Not only did I hear what I called in to hear, people griping about Barry Zito, I also heard A’s hater Pauley Mac read a promo for the Campy jersey game.
