I was actually agains his signing before happened, but now I'm feeling all giddy about it.

I sure do hope they figure out a way to keep both the big hurt and sweeney on this team..

Huh?

Why in world would you have been against signing Thomas? He was great for the A’s in 2006, didn’t leave on bad terms, and was signed for a pittance: $390,000 for nearly a full season from a first-ballot HOF player 1 year removed from 39 HR and 114 RBI!!!!!

yeah, I know...

I love Big Frank and loved him when he was here.. but we were/are in first place and the batting averages were starting to improve.. and you know if it aint broke dont break it..

I was/am a little afriad of chemistry, now we have,what 9 guys competing for 5 positions? but anyways.. it was just a little bit of anxiety on my part.. but I’m totally stoked now and just hope that the A’s find a way to keep both Sweeneys around…

Something to prove !

The Hurt worked hard this spring to find his timing and get off to a great start. In his last 6 or 7 games for Toronto he hit many line shots that went directly at someone. Time wil tell but expectations are for a great year for himself and hopefully another play-off trip for Oakland. I can’t wait !!!
