CarGo Injured
In the ninth inning of Sacto's game at Las Vegas this evening CarGo fouled an inside fastball down the left field foul line. He immediately dropped the bat and the Mgr and Trainer didn't hesitate to take him out of the game.
I'm don't mean to cry wolf b/c there was no report of the injury, but the fact that he immediately came out doesn't sound very good. Something like that often is a 'Pop' of some sort where the athlete immediately knows something is wrong.
Hopefully it is nothing serious and hopefully the A's post a report on their home page tomorrow.

Looks like he's absorbing the A's philosophy well
Namely, exploit that California workman’s comp system for all it’s worth!

We could put together one hell of DL team, Hell last year’s DL team would have won the west.

Woah. I haven't seen somebody post "isop" since before the espn boards went to hell.
Blast from the past. hfg
There was a golden age there!
it was funny, actually, I got a PM out of nowhere from ToniPeluso on the scout.com boards inviting me to join their fantasy keeper league.
Oh, I was mike92tsi over there btw, not mikev
I remember Mike92tsi
And I still see Lord Syphon and Zonis occasionally over there
Yeah I still post there
occasionally(I was LordSyphonLSD if you couldnt put 2 and 2 together). Back in the day I mostly just lurked. Once they changed formats it went down hill. I still remember that Angels guys getting all pissy someone posted a pic of him and tryed banning everyone. LoL.
When will then be now? Soon.
I wonder what ever happened to that
prick
Steeeewie would be good over here.
He would be taking a few to task wouldn’t he?
That's funny, I was thinking the same thing
a couple of days ago.
He appears here and there
The last time I saw him was a couple of weeks ago, he dropped by
Now that guy was a blast
I wonder how they would take to him over here?
But God, it would be hilarious.
You KNOW he’d be in favor of Thomas and Bonds, and he’d probably also want to sign CC Sabathia and bring back Washington.
I’m pretty sure most of those guys are still in a yahoo fantasy keeper league together.
anybody else hear Toni Peluso get picked for the home run inning a couple games back?
Here's a typical post

I am HorseManure111. You can tell who I am by reading my posts. Most of them are NEGATIVE
I heard her name
I even asked her on the board but she was not there that day and did not respond.
I heard her on the radio one day and boy, does she have a sexy voice!!!
What about Vert
He does not come around anymore. He said he was not going to support the team after they got rid of Haren
Cant blame him really.. I wasnt happy
but at least Billy rebuilds the right way when he does. Its almost a catch 22 to rooting for A’s players. If you root too hard and they do well they price themselves outta town,
When will then be now? Soon.
LOL
I remember him terrorizing the Mariner’s Board. That was some funny shit there!!!
Nothing Beats Money and SeanJazz

We had some great times. We used to party by the B-Pole and we even had FRO Mojo.
Jules, EBWC, Smac…We all went to Spring Training a couple of times too.

why wait until thursday?
Their chess-playing has attracted so much notice that one teammate -- they're not sure who, but they have a guess -- has begun hiding pieces, which are then discovered in odd places. The kings remain missing, so they're playing with Eric Chavez Bobbleheads. "Chavvy does have six Gold Gloves," Brown explained. "That's good enough to be king."
Sounds Weird to me

A Left hander fouling a inside fastball down the left field line? Did he get jammed?
Game Day put the pitch
on the inside part of the plate while the radio broadcast said the ball was fouled down the left field line…don’t shoot me, I ‘m just the messenger

Now call him up!
Theres still room on the major league DL. He’s starting to feel more like a true Oakland Athletic.
I'm not a big wine guy... Where do you grow the BEER?
Thanks for the update
doesn’t look like its too serious if he’s a game time decision….its freaks you out when an athlete immediately knows they have to come out….if something hasn’t snapped or broken they’ll usually try to play a bit more to confirm they can’t continue to compete….hopefully it just a bad bone bruise
This post title
sounds like a knock-knock joke.
Who’s there?
Cargo.
Cargo who?
Cargo boom when it blows up and implodes your hopes, jerk.

Listening to the game
THe rivercats announncer said he is being evaluated for thursday. “not all that serious but you never know.”
Evaluated for Wednesday = 60 Day DL
Evaluated for Thursday = Tommy John surgery
Evaluated for Friday = Services Pending
So could be better, could be worse.

I'm sure they'll have to amputate his hand this weekend
Although with modern technology, maybe CarGon can get one of those neat bionic hands. Would MLB allow him to play then?
