I don't understand this. Why are we holding on to Johnson when he has, uh, petered out. Sweeney hasn't shown much, and Denorfia is obviously rusty. What we need, you should pardon the expression, is Linden. We are woefully thin in the outfield and player-heavy in the infield. Is Cust now considered an actual outfielder? What did they decide to do with Linden, anyway? This is a head-scratcher for me. He rightfully vents, continues to hit and he's on a one way ticket to Palookaville. A mistake.

I've come to the conclusion that the mods need to actually start CGVing people
in order to get this plague of one-paragraph fanposts to stop.
Either that or start deleting them much more aggressively.
I'll be the first to acknowledge it feels like killing a bug with a battery of artillery, but...

that one paragraph diaries suck, PaulThomas can be a little off-putting and takes nearly everything too seriously but is nonetheless a valuable member of the community, xbx needs professional help for that Coen Brothers fetish of his, Blez is harder to like now that he lives in So Cal, I bitch about MLB.tv blackouts too much, Joe Morgan should not be fired, told he sucks, nor listened to, installing Firefox 3 just to make AN 3 a little faster was probably a mistake, and Yahoo's StatTracker sucks?

I have a feeling this is going to turn into another Linden argument. I would have liked to see Linden get a shot, but I'm not privy to the internal workings of the team. I'm sure they have their reasons for setting their roster the way they did. Concerning the team's personnel moves, I've learned to not make any snap judgments. Sometimes it's better to let things play out on their own. Often, this seems to clarify many of their decisions.

one, he wasn't on the 40 man roster. Moving him on would have meant taking someone off that they wanted to protect. Two, he is a corner outfielder. Finally (and unfortunately for him) his great spring showing came late in games, mostly against non-major league ptiching.

Just A Thought
Maybe it's time for one of the managers to create a fanpost or story for the front page that outlines the purposes of each section. For example, what is worthy for a fanshot , but not necessarily a fanpost? Most of us may be aware of the criteria, but some of the newer members may not be. This post will most likely not be popular with some of the more 'senior' members, but it's not cool to encourage participation from other members, just to reprimand them for doing so because the topic is not deemed worthy by the majority of the people here. Just a suggestion. This continues to happen, so apparently ripping on the offender isn't going to solve this problem.
