spring training heartburn

after many sleepy games and sleepless nights, Kruk and Kuip were once again perched above the game they were calling. after the forth inning, Kuip decided against his better notions, and relapsed to the calling of large nachos, with Diet Strawberry Fanta back.

The burning of the heartburn was slowly building, and robbing Kuip's attention from the matter at hand. The director in the truck had put up yet another shot of snotty kids and cuffs being used as hankies.

Kuip was about to belch, when he caught Kruk's eye. The burning came to a crescendo. Instead of puking a bit in his mouth, as per his usual defense, he came to a stunning realization as the 112th shot of kids at a game blinked onto the monitor.

It wasn't the nachos. It was his burning desire to produce "gamer" offspring with his partner in play by play only. Visions of toddlers in the stands using a proper kleenex (TM) with little jerseys reading KRUK or KUIP blew his cover, and caused such a panic, that he called Bocock "Joe Morganesque".

On the other side of the bay, baseballgirl did throw up a little bit in her mouth.

As he opened his mouth to really "talk" to Kruk for the first time, he caught his gamer partners eye again. Kruk winked, and then farted.

Kuip never thought those bad thoughts again.
