Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Phils, Astros complete Roy Oswalt deal

Su Slu On ESPN, Reports:

1) Emil Brown took the blame for the base running gaff on Tues/Wed. (I am still under the belief that DeFrancesco should have never sent Barton, BUT, Barton would have been safe had the cut went home, so DeFran is out of my Dog House...As is Brown who has given us a RH power bat in our first two games)

2) The Yankees have inquired about the availability of Rich Harden and it would take one heckuva package to land him. (I guess if they trade us Cabrera and Hughes, I'm in :) )

You GO Su Slu!!! I was astounded to see you on ESPN this morning and I am glad that they are choosing you as the A's voice over Ray Ratto, whom they chose for the Raiders!!!

Double edge sword

I guess the downside to Rich looking so awesome is that he will now look more appealing as trade bait.

Let him be appealing...

The more prospects for him the better!

Correction

I guess the downside to Rich Susan looking so awesome is that he she will now look more appealing as trade bait.

Bait and switch?

Offer Harden for Hughes and then substitute Slusser at the last minute.

Actually, bad idea - Sluss will probably make more starts by year's end.

Both writers

they both are writers so that makes sense, but hasn't Giambi been retired for Some time. I liked him on the sureal life though.

Cabrera sucks

we don't need anymore mediocer corner outfielders playing CF...

Most Cabreras don't suck, however -

Give me Orlando and Miguel and I'll part with Slusser. I'll even throw in Ratto to seal the deal.

trade rumors

A few years ago The New York Times offered us Jason Blair and Judith Miller for Susan and Tim Goodman but we turned them down. That was before our food writer Kim Severson signed with them as a free agent.
