How will the David Forst team do in 08?

PrintEver notice how anytime the A's make a transaction, it's David Forst who has the quote? Well, I do. While Billy is off living his dream to oversee a MLS franchise, Forst has been pulling the trigger with a lot of moves. Yes, it is Beane who oversees everything, but don't think for a moment Beane isn't assuming Davie knows best. So, while the big trades like Haren and Swisher are no doubt conducted with the advice of Beane, the "minor acquistions" like Denorfia, Devine, Linden, Cust, Brown, ie 80% of the team, etc, are mostly the work of Forst. Let's be honest; this is David Forst's 1997 Billy Beane-esque sqad. When Beane hands the reigns over to Forst when he wants, we can look back and say 2006-2007 was the making of Forst. So, how do you think David Forst's Oakland A's will fare in 08?

Just because Forst handles the media...
Does not mean Beane is not still the GM.
Do you have any other evidence to support your claim? Because "Forst talks to reporters therefore Forst is running the show" is a little weak, if you ask me.

I'm not saying it isn't true or that it would necessarily be bad if it were, I just can't see how you came to that conclusion. You could just as easily say Forst is handling the Media because Beane is working so feverishly towards the 2011 World Champions that he doesn't have time.

A whole diary, you might want to try posting comments like this in the DLD. A fanpost should be reserved for a more thought out article or essay, not just random thoughts about Players, or the GM. And try to space out your fanpost's as well, 2 in one hour is a little much, considering they are about a paragraph long each....

doubt i will be banned for any exchange with you. But if Blez and the other's feel the need to punish me, so be it. I'm not afraid to be banned from this site. I know the rules, and for the most part, i try to abide by them. If there is something i say that they feel is cause to reprimand me, i can respect that. That's part of being a grown-up. You are able to put things into perspective. At the end of the day, what happens on this site doesn't cause me to lose any sleep at night.

I knew it was a bad idea.
Personally, I hope he's not banned. In my experience, trolls tend to tire quickly when they're not fed. Banning only seems to energize whatever dark emotions impel them to seek negative attention.
Better to just ignore him. I think I'll go reread the Fanpost about Apricot's killfile -- if I understand it correctly, it provides us with an "ignore" function .

In conclusion...
...I don't think anyone was making fun of the guy's posting, just pointing out that his comments would have been better off in a DLD and to not to post so frequently as that the postings back up to each other. I also would not think that any of us here would not encourage people to express their opinion about our beloved A's, no matter how uninformed that opinion may be.
