This job is still open?
I'm concerned that the A's still haven't filled this position, which they've been advertising for months. If they'd offer more than peanuts to fill it, and make it a full 81 game gig, perhaps they could attract talent they could keep for more than one year at a time.
There's a lot of room for a new top tier mascot in baseball, but it doesn't look like the A's are interested in making the investment to fill that void.
no kidding!
They've been looking for months. Loosen up the wallets! Cheap out on the squad all you want, but don't mess with my Stomper.
Yeah...
you gotta pay over slot for top-notch mascot prospects!

To be fair...
...you pay peanuts, you get elephants.
The Carribean World Series
is on ESPN Deportes and DirecTV 625 if anyone is interested in a little pre-season baseball fix.
the old stomper went dummy
No.
You haven't noticed he's white?
Hmmm... Friday Saturday Sunday, ...
... and me with the weeknight tickets.
Too bad about that pesky "fit" part.
Hey!
Then who was the Stomper impostor at Fan Fest?
Were David Forst and Stomper
ever seen at the same time in the same area???
That gives you a hint! *8^)
I loved it when someone asked if Marvin Bernard was ever seen on the playing field when "Lu Seal" was bouncing around. That was funny!

Fun superbowl for a change!
I have to say, with all the "Silicon Valley" brainpower, why hasn't someone from Intel, Google, etc., built an anamatronic Stomper, about 30 feet tall, on a contract for the Athletics. He'd do a backflip onto the field from centerfield and bounce around. Fill the inflated body skin with hydrogen or helium, use a titanium skeleton, use Disney-type technology. Industrial Light & Magic, they got inventive guys.
The A's ought to take "mascots" to the next level: robotics.
