Are the Mariners' simulations ...
... better than their personnel decisions?
I'm concerned that they may have not given proper weight to the Davis Factor.

It's a Mariners blog ...
and, while they clearly don't have the best blog, overall, their collective blogosphere may be the best in baseball.

agree
They have excellent sites and great writers. Too bad they are in the same division because if they were in a different division, I would be tempted to be a Mariners fan.
Optimism vs. Realism vs. Pessimism
This site (AN) sways more towards "Realism"... Mariners blogs are pretty dark. Dark is good sometimes, but it would drive me to a slow, painful wimper.. You would think that trading for Bedard assures 7 years of bad luck.

they have an oddly favorable view of the A's '08 starting pitching

For some reason ...
they have some guy name Rich Harden pitching for the A's ... I don't know why that is ...

I presumed that
Even if Harden is healthy and effective all year, our starting pitching likely won't be the class of the league. Our defense is likelier to be shakier, as well.
