Johnson Dan-san?
Nikkan Sports is reporting that the Yokohama BayStars of Japan have acquired Dan Johnson from the Rays.
It might be the best thing for Johnson's career, though we wouldn't have been surprised to see him turn in a few solid seasons as a platoon player if given another chance. He hit .307/.434/.556 for Triple-A Durham last season. Source: NikkanSports.com
Can we still blame Dan Johnson for the A's moving to the south bay if he is moving East? And what ever happened to Ex-A and Japan exile Matt Watson?
Well good luck Dan, and here's to you putting up those great AAA numbers in a place where they will be appreciated... and come to fruition.

Go Dan go
Smart move since he put up the AAA numbers but didn’t get much of a shot this year. I see a big sell in red hair in Japan this year.

Since he has negative value,
selling him to Japan would actually worsen the trade deficit…

So-called trade deficts [actually current account deficits because trade is perfectly balanced]...
…are not necessarily bad for the economy. The flip-side of a current account deficit is a capital account surplus — foreign exchange banks repatriating our U.S. dollars and buying assets (typically our debt insruments, allowing Americans to borrow at low interest rates for consumption and business expansion]. Its when there’s a federal budget defict — and there too often is — along side a current account deficit is when future taxpayers will be taking it on the chin.
Sorry to take a light-hearted post and respond like I did but trade is NOT the bogeyman that many make it out to be.

Most (if not all) of their stadiums are domes
So he won’t have to worry about putting on sunscreen.

not as many as the shallow end of daric barton's swimming pool
"My group runs some frogloks down the hall to finish them off and POP! RASTER! If there was a way to scream louder than caps in EQ I was doing it. Man I am straight panicking because I know I have NO CHANCE soloing and the party has run off. I'm in my hotel room; it's like 5am, and I am straight hollering, in EQ and in real life. Bottom line is the group comes back, heals me, and kills Raster! WOOT!" -Curt Schilling on his favorite memories in the video game "EverQuest"
