When a players BABIP is higher than league average what can one deduct from this information? If their BABIP is consistently above average does this mean they are simply luckier than other hitters? Or is BABIP used more as a tool to determine if a player is going to regress to their mean? Or in Nick Swishers case have a rebound season. Thanks for all input on the subject!
