DLD 10/5/08: Because I'm still not over Hazing
We haven't had a new DLD in a few days, so here we go.
Just ran into a few more hazing shots I haven't seen before. It just doesn't get old for me.
Either Cunningham is a really funny guy, or he had a few more beers than everyone else.
Gio protecting the goods.
Ryan and Dale: the Walk of Shame.
Greg must've been swigging on his beer for one long-ass time, because there are about 8 shots in a row of him chugging. Sidenote, I never would've guessed Greggles was hiding those sorta flabby-looking thighs under his uniform all this time. Also, we can now see that Travis's outfit included baggy shorts over the latex leggings. Damn.
What we've all been waiting for: Blevins in a miniskirt. And Ryan waving his wand at us.
Dump away!

You’re welcome :) I found them on iconsportsmedia.com; sometimes they have a few things you can’t get on daylife.com, yahoo sports photos, or gettyimages.
No, they're often on the smaller side, like above :(
But sometimes they cover angles or games that aren’t covered elsewhere.
Here’s one of their Ellis shots for ya :)

wow, these are some of the ugliest drag shots I've seen
Street, by contrast, looked quite fetching in his outfit some years back…
weird
when I posted it last night, the picture was there….and now it’s not….huh….
There's no crying in baseball!
street did look lovely…his drag gear showed off his body ;) So, greg is beautiful and sexy..even his thighs and i don’t blame him for chugging away at a time like that!Lol
I still think Gio and Carlos look adooooorable! and yay Ryan finally waving his wand…I’ve always wanted to see him work his wand…!
haha i hadn’t even noticed that. i had to go back and look. That’s awesome. They do make an adorable couple Lol

Does anybody know where to get previous hazing photos?
Like of Swisher, or Ellis? or anybody really. Hazing is awesome!
We're in a team-wide funk. ~Mark Ellis

I have a ton of memorabilia
that I am considering moving. Still debating, but once I take inventory I will fanshot what I have available.
Stuff like this:
I'm here to talk about the past.
Hey, that's pretty good if you're awake and coherent by the time Live comes on!
I don’t think I managed that when I was looking for a job last year.
It was a REALLY great day to sleep in,
however, my freaking dogs were going crazy. Couldn’t stay in bed any longer.
Ohhh…. I just saw a commercial for Honey Bunches of Oats – Just Bunches. I’ll have to get some of that shit.
But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.
Just Bunches is quite good.
I couldn’t sleep last night (probably had something to do with the 10 cups of tea I had yesterday afternoon) and was up in the middle of the night doing Sudoku for an hour. Suck.

I have a link!
Cupcakes did well yesterday. Yay.
Blanton doesn’t want to discuss his departure from the A’s. He was 5-12 with a 4.96 ERA when Billy Beane, Oakland’s general manager, dispatched him to Philadelphia on July 17, finishing the dismantling of the club, which began this past winter.
“I haven’t really dwelled on it, thought much about it since I was traded,” Blanton said.
Blanton won 47 games for the Athletics from the outset of the 2005 season and remained healthy while such colleagues as Harden and Justin Duchscherer spent more time on the disabled list than on the mound.
Bill King
…doesn’t make it onto the ballot for the Ford C. Frick Award this year :(

Goddamnit
This is bad. Declining support year to year is a really bad sign for HOF candidates. And it’s not likely many more people will come to appreciate Bill’s genius as time passes.

this really bums me out
What has to happen? I just don’t get how he’s not on the ballot. More importantly, Nuxhall has dominated the vote for the 2nd year in a row. We have to figure out how the Reds fans are getting out the vote so we can match it. The A’s were pushing it on their broadcast and obviously we’ve tried to keep it in mind to vote every day through DLD links, but jeez, Bill wasn’t even in the top 3 of online voting?! That ain’t right.

this pic was on mlb.com (ignore the 3 jokers on the left):

I wonder when this is from, and how Rich ended up in the picture. Pretty sure he didn’t play in the last WBC.
Aha. That makes sense.
Rich looks kind of angry in that picture. Varitek just looks sloppy… not that that’s surprising.
This is the picture I always use to show people the difference between Red Sox players and A's players.
Sums it up pretty nicely.
BTW...
Did you see we’re getting ads for Tampa? We’re really close to Cedar Rapids ads.
But he came back. And there was much rejoicing.
I didn't notice. (Cedar Rapids)
We’re awesome. (Cedar Rapids) Now if people would just stop talking so much about what’s actually happening in the playoffs, we could get our Cedar Rapids ads. (Cedar Rapids)
Cedar Rapids...
did someone say Cedar Rapids?

Does the guy ever smile and not smirk?
It stands out even more next to Huston’s whitestrips smile!
39 remarkable innings.
I know, I honestly started to wonder if he had busted teeth or something.
But that theory is disproven: He has great teeth.
I guess Bobby is the only one who can make him smile.

I know! Rich looks sooo little.
And Bobby looks a bit too… devious… in the last pic. Like, “I’ve got him just where I want him. Bwahaha.” Or something.
I’ve seen him smile..and what a loooovely smile it is!!! Huston does have a beaaaautiful white smile though but Rich….i like his smirk. I like him. He always looks damn good…oh he is so talented too..but he always look damn good. Thoooooough in my time researching him, well pictures of him, i have noticed he is a stunning man but he always has a half asleep/dopey look with his eyes and smirk…
Yeah, I think the way his eyes are shaped makes him look sleepy.
But maybe some of it’s his personality, too – Melhuse once said that Rich “is so ho-hum that sometimes you want to shake him to make sure he’s awake.”
Aw, Melhuse.
You’re like a treasure trove of A’s info, just pulling out the quotes and the pics wherever needed. It’s quite helpful, actually. ;)
Aww, thank you!!!
I only happen to have a good memory when it comes to the cute ones… but hey, these are the A’s – that applies to most of em :)
yeah, check you pulling out the great quotes. thanks. lol I like the sleepy look/ ho-hum way that is Rich! so cute and he does have a great smile when he actually feels like showing it off and not just smirking…i won’t complain though. I like his smirk

I think I'm going crazy.
Lately when I’ve been writing emails, I’ve wanted to click “preview” before sending them, just to make sure they look okay. It took me a while to realize where that habit came from. Yeah, I think I’ve been spending too much time on AN.

I hit C to get to the next page of a PDF.
Well… I used to. Back in the days when I AN’ed.
