Korach Charity -- Calling All Pledges!
Thanks to all who have sent me their pledges for Ken's Winning for the Community Project. But I still have received less than half the pledges made.
So in case you didn't see my FanPost the first time, I'm now collecting the pledges for Ken's charity. If you simply put off sending in your check, now's the time to act.
Make checks payable to: A's Community Fund (and write Winning for the Community somewhere on the check)
Please send the checks to me (since I'm keeping track of the money raised by AN) and I'll forward them all to the A's Foundation.
If you have any questions, my email is sbeck97@gmail.com.

I think I need to send you the equivalent of 10 more wins, right?

I am so glad you did this. I was about to ask. No, really, I was.
I'm here to talk about the past.

Not for nothing , but
do I ahve to send my check all the way to Ohio when I live, like 15 minutes from the Coliseum ? Why don’t I end the A’s the real check and a copy to you for your accounting?

You can send the check to the Coliseum
if you want. But I’d like to keep track of the money we’ve raised.
It’s up to you.

I'm sure this has been addressed, but why are you in Ohio?

For the weather
I grew up here and want to be closer to family. And I can actually afford a house here! Plus, the summers here beat the dreary cold SF weather.

First time I've ever heard someone claim they were in C-town for the weather.
It’s a cool city, prices are definitely cheap, and SF summer time weather is horrible. However, I’d take the bay over c-town any day. Thanks for all the hard work on this project. My buddy lives in Loraine. You can drink all night there for approximately $25. It’s great.

Here's the OG Diary ...
if you pledged it somewhere else, you’re on your own …
and that was 75 wins …

Okay Devo, I guess I'll take my $4 per
win and “go on my own” despite the fact that I first read about this on AN and consider myself part of the board. By the way, when I spoke to Detra Paige in A’s Community Affairs, I told her I was connected with AN. But…..since I didn’t pledge on the thread, I guess I’ve been DFA’d.

Sorry ... definitely didn't mean to belittle anyway outside of that thread ...
I was just looking it up to figure out what my pledge was (in the mail, btw) … I was just posting the link to help others out.

Wondering - can I use PayPal for the remaining balance and factor in extra for their fees?

Only if the A's Community Fund
has a Paypal account. You could check with them on that.
But I don’t want any money going to my Paypal account, since I don’t want to be commingling funds.

I sent you a check today for the remaining $15
