Mike Piazza on Jim Rome

I was listening to Jim Rome's show today and he was suppose to have Piazza on in the third hour.    Does anyone know if the interview went through? I would like to know what Piazza would said if the interview happened.  I would love to listen to the interview, but don't want to pay for the membership on Rome's website.

Mike Piazza on Jim Rome?

So then he IS a top.

I like Cindi. A. She never pretends to know more than she does. B. She has unbridled enthusiasm for her "Hotties," and isn't afraid to show it. -IM4Oakgal

I wonder how many people get that joke?

It took me a minute, and seared a mighty disturbing impression, too!

Piazza on Rome

I listened to the entire interview, and you would have thought Piazza still played for the Dodgers or Mets.  I didn't hear him say a single thing about the A's.  He did speak of his time in Stockton and Sacramento, and how he had to buy post-game spreads for all the players.

It definitely sounded like he's done playing after this season, but said he would listen to all offers during the offseason.

A lot of B.S.ing about the old days.  A little chat about being a (new) father.   Throw in a couple "Dudes", and there's your interview.

After Rome ripped him for the home run derby...

..."Dewd! He was throwin' me cutters!"...

I figured Piazza would give Rome a wide berth.

The Chavez Shift: 6 infielders and 2 catchers.

Piazza

Colorado, thanks for the recap of the interview.  I didn't think Piazza would lay into the A's organization. I can't believe that he hasn't been playing that much lately.
I remember along time ago when Piazza called Rome and asked "dude have I been traded." Piazza was traded to the Marlins.  I'll never forget with the Marlins G.M. (forgot his name) said they were going to keep Piazza for the long term.
