Thanks, to all for restaurant recommendations post AN day
Well, After sitting in the sun my wife wasn't feeling all that great.
After a couple of motrins she felt better though.
I was thinking that we might still link up with some of you at the Pacific coast brewery.
But she wanted to have a nice dinner and go see a movie.
So we ended up having dinner at Spettro's on Lakeshore Ave.
It was very good.
Just kind of found it by accident though.
The place was full with a line out the door when we left to catch our movie "Sicko"
It was great to see this movie in the bay area.
We are both Democrats and live in a 92% Republican area of Rocklin, Ca.
We had a great time at AN day.
I enjoyed meeting some of you face to face who had made some of the sugestions we had with us at AN day.
Again, thank you!!!! I will keep the list for next year.

Hi, Mike Heath
I enjoyed sitting next to you at lunch and meeting you and your wife and hearing your insight on past AN days. I look forward to seeing you at future gatherings.
At some (late) point during AN day I looked down and realized that my AN name tag was GONE. I sent my oldest son in search of it but it was nowhere to be found. So, I went at least 3/4 of the day w/o a name tag so nobody knew that I was in any way associated with AN (sigh).
I "met" (er, saw from a distance) this weekend so many of the screen names that I am so familiar with even if I was too shy to approach you. Maybe next year!
Thank you again to EVERYONE who made this day possible. My family and I had a fantastic time.
Where are the dozens of recap and photo threads?
If you all are wanting me to get so jealous I have to make the trip out next year, you guys are doing a crappy job at it. I WANT SOME PHOTOS AND CUTE STORIES!
We're trying to create an aura of mystery
so your curiosity is sparked and you have to come out next year.
Meh.
You can ask BB the tough questions.
"Who's your whitest favorite player?"
I couldn't find my camera
And my lens doesn't zoom enough to do this subject justice -- but when Huston came out to do his leg stretches before he started throwing in the bullpen, looked in the general direction of Section 235, turned his back squarely on us, and slowly and deliberately bent over. I pointed this out to Poppy, who suggested that he might merely have wanted to check his shoelaces at that point, rather than giving us a butt sighting. But I knew better -- and I think she did too.
Only 92%
I live in northern Citrus Heights, right on the Antelope/Roseville border, and I feel naked without a gun rack.
Glad you found Spettro's
and the Grand Lake theater. I love the blueberry walnut salad that is available in 2/4/6 dollar version. Gotta love a place that employs hosts with wild hair.
