Anyone would've guessed that this would be the A's starting lineup for game 121 this year?  I thought Swisher, Piazza and Ellis would be there.  Buck was a possibility coming out of spring training, but I never thought that the lineup would look like this.  Ever.

If we didn't spend all April discussing the likelihood -- nay, certainty -- of a bottom 3rd of the order that runs Murphy, Hannahan, Suzuki, it's only because the observation was so obvious as to be trite.

the pitching hasn't been quite up to par, giving up 5.12runs/game, with the season average at 4.33/game.

I like the lineup, especially with Swisher at 1st.

This stadium looks and sounds damn near sold out, and yesterday's crowd was pretty huge for a weeknight when you're as far back as we are.  Can we retire the old tired columnist notions about how no one goes to the A's games?
