Poor Kendall

He'll try anything for an extra base hit.

I don't blame Kendall at all for trying.

Agreed

Didn't work out, but not a bad choice to force Ibañez to make the play.

I actually thought we should have

gone to Casilla for Guillen, given how he owned Gaudin, but nice job Chad. Now I'd like to Casilla get the last 4 outs, but I suspect he'll just be asked to get the one...

I'd really prefer to see Casilla in the 9th--he's especially tough the first time you see him. I even prefer the matchup of Casilla-Ichiro to Embree-Ichiro.

Took forever to go back-to-back

in little league. I figured out that the easiest way to homer is to stand further from the plate. For those having trouble with not getting strikes, stand as close as possible to the plate, and basically you'll hit groundballs that go about 10 feet.

Is a new Big 3 starting to emerge??

Still a bit soon to predict it, but it sure is starting to look like a new Big 3 of Haren, Blanton, and Gaudin is emerging.

It'd be nice if Harden could make it all the way back and make it a Big 4, but even if that never happens, I could sure get used to counting on stellar outings from these three on a regular basis.
