Obviously many of you are Raiders fans, but for the 49ers fans here who haven't visited, I'm the writer over at Niners Nation, the 49ers blog here at SB Nation.  

We've been around for 7 months now and yesterday I finally got to check out a 49ers training camp, along with 2,000 of my fellow fans.  Good times were had by all and while it's hard to learn much during the first practice of training camp, a few things caught my attention.

I met up with one of my readers and he posted a recap with some pictures that I followed up on with my own comments.

1. Patrick Willis worked with the second team base defense, but joined Manny Lawson as the two linebackers in the nickel package.

2. 6'8 Zack Hilton looked like he could be a solid backup tight end for us...of course I think was enamored with his height than anything else.

3. The fans are totally turned against Kwame and had some Staley chants going.

All in all a good time and definitely worth checking out if you get a chance.  In the meantime, feel free to check out the recap and pictures.  If you haven't been to Niners Nation, we've got a nice little community developing and hope you get a chance to stop by as the 2007 season gets going.
