Open Game Thread: Game 105 - A's at Seattle (cont.)
So, it turns out those first twenty runs in the game don't count for all that much. After seven full innings, we're in a 10-10 tie ballgame between the A's and Mariners, after Casilla left a few pitches too high in the zone, erasing the A's lead.
We're off to the eighth to see if the A's have some more power left in their bats. Go A's!

10-10
just like 0-0, with a lot more pitchers.
We haven't used a lot of power yet
so we are still due for a second homer. These are an unlikely 10 runs when you look at our usual hitting performances. Thank God they have a JoKe too.

Is Swish getting a beer gut?
Or is this outfit just a tad blousy?
A little of both.
He's no Munson. At least not yet.

Gameday gone berserk
For a moment it read:
Pitcher change: Sean Green replaces Eric O'Flaherty.
Pitcher change: Sean Green replaces Sean Green.
Pitcher change: Sean Green replaces Sean Green.
Coaching visit to mound.
Too many runs = does not compute

Time for Cust to be Cust.
I sense "significant change".
... for the A's. They will win.
We have to be specific.
Booooo!

Scoreboard picture of Street?

DIE!
Oh Street... why do you hate us so?
And why is it so frickin' hard for pitchers to throw anywhere besides home? I'm so tired of throwing errors from our pitchers. It's crazy!
He's not doing so well throwing home either.
That was clearly Suzuki's fault.
Kendall would have turned a triple play on the leadoff hitter.
My soul is crying.
I used to like it when we were good.

Can't we activate BoCro to PH and go down
on 3 straight pitches from Putz???
(I'd just feel that things we're all in order that way!)

I think Huston has pitched long enough.
How many pitches should we let him throw since he has recently had pain in his elbow again?

I just heard from Larry Davis...
The answer is 120.
I seriously am concerned about 2008.
I hope he ain't part of it.

I think this would be a really bad game to attend as a visiting team's fan.
Oy.
Let's get Guillen and Bradley back. Why not?
Barton would have had that!!!

Silver lining.
Maybe McLaren will be dumb enough to not use Putz, now that they have a three-run lead.
Who cares if he does? I do because that would
help the Anals.

I say let them score one more.

"White Flag" is in.
Wasted no time.
Kennedy sucks.
That was amusing...
Kuiper: Kennedy's job is simple. Get Ben Broussard... and he does not do it. First pitch single.
Seriously laughing out loud
Glen: His job is simple: Get the left handed Broussard.

Mariners' announcers said that JoKe does indeed
have EXTRA BAGS PACKED since he is anticipating going elsewhere. Silver lining.

Yesterday's game being lost makes this much
easier to take. Our small glimmer of hope was eliminated by losing yesterday because we needed to take 3 of 4.
Looking forward to a lot of upcoming trades. Hopefully we'll get some players for '08.
