I'm pretty sure he was kidding.
Big moment for Swisher
Chance to reclaim his status as budding team leader. He's already homered. Time for another big hit.
How ya like that SHIT!!!

and, Swish matches him!!!
YAY!
by FoolshGame22 on Jul 26, 2007 9:52 PM PDT up reply actions
Byrnes has 57 rbi and
27 stolen bases
by SalParadise on Jul 26, 2007 9:57 PM PDT up reply actions
this guy should have had a green light to steal..
his entire career with the A's. Totally underutlized by Beane. Would have stolen 40 bases a year. Oh well...

3R HR by Swish-kabobs
clanker off the foul pole
good times had by all (in Oakland)
by oaklandSMASH on Jul 26, 2007 9:55 PM PDT up reply actions
Awesome
I just have been checking the scores. Can't see who is hitting. Damn!
by mlleaimee on Jul 26, 2007 9:57 PM PDT up reply actions
Sure. Just a non-save sitchy now.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 26, 2007 9:56 PM PDT up reply actions
Chimes in.
2 home run games...
First Ellis and now Swish. This is good stuff.
Think we'll ever see Cust hit two in a game again?
Reitsma is indeed their JoKe
And MacLaren is their Geren. They totally didn't need to put him in there.
Damn!
I don't have FSN or ESPN so I'm watching a re-run of CSI and frickin depressing.

STREET TIME
Seattlites in the crowd now are dumbasses
They boo letting a guy off of rehab stay in as opposed to a relief pitcher who is lights out most of the time.
Three-run two-out rally
Note to self: Rally started after I cracked a beer. Conclusion - must drink more beer.

Gotta go over to Lookout Landing
to see the comments match the ship...
Sherrill has been really good. It's great to get the insurance off him!

They are saying "season over" and what I
would give to only be 4 out of 1st right now.

The real Steve?
He's not bad.
I'm sure glad he helped create Nick!

Nick must take after his mom
because she's Italian and he's hot
by mlleaimee on Jul 26, 2007 10:07 PM PDT up reply actions
Maybe she "hung out" with Piazza?

Me too!
I hope he stays 'on' and doesn't make the "I'm so scared face" that he kept making last year.
by mlleaimee on Jul 26, 2007 10:08 PM PDT up reply actions
Yeah
let him keep the Luke Skywalker-before-leaving tatooine face, not the Ron Weasley-jus-broke-his-wand face
by oaklandSMASH on Jul 26, 2007 10:10 PM PDT up reply actions
HAAHaAA
I'd prefer he used a Fred or George Weasley face.
by mlleaimee on Jul 26, 2007 10:12 PM PDT up reply actions
I'd be freaked out
if Huston had two identical faces on one head

The game's over?
We won?
Yes on both accounts. I fired up mlb.radio
even though I need sleep.
I mailed you a check today.

Fried Unicorn?
Let me get some of that!
by oaklandSMASH on Jul 26, 2007 10:15 PM PDT up reply actions
This does sound a little suspicious.
No really it's pine tar. It's not hashish.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 26, 2007 10:18 PM PDT up reply actions
I *knew* it was a dream.
is it "game over" for the a's?
I'm scared that we are gonna dump a few
players just as we are starting to build some momentum. I know the odds of a comeback are slim but this winning thing is kind of fun.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 26, 2007 10:15 PM PDT reply actions
Like I said before
nothing to lose now
let's stay scrappy
by oaklandSMASH on Jul 26, 2007 10:16 PM PDT up reply actions
We could survive losing Kennedy & Embree
but I am hoping there isn't a "blockbuster" in the works. I want to keep Piazza now and it sounds like he knows he's finished as a catcher.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 26, 2007 10:19 PM PDT up reply actions
Agree, I don't think the Yankees
would give the Athletics much for Piazza. That is about the only place he'd make sense...or agree to.
There is a "gentleman's agreement" in place that Piazza won't be traded without his okay.

Letting Casilla go is the one that scares me.
He might end up being a better option at closer than Street. Hate to admit it but that is the way I feel.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 26, 2007 10:29 PM PDT up reply actions
Why would the A's drop Casilla?
With all the weird "age" stuff, the A's have stuck with him. Now he's fulfilling his promose (< that's a word created from "most promising").
I think he will inherit Calero's spot. Calero
