ANtics Special: Write Your Own Caption!
When you break it down, the ANtics are typically a bunch of photographs from the AP wire and local newspapers, dragged through ComicLife and tagged with captions, and imagining just what could possibly be going through the A's players' minds...
Rather than monopolize the fun myself, I thought AN could help with some captions for the "Sad A's Fan Girl" image used this week. Courtesy of a colleague at work, I gained special permission to use the image in ANtics, and it seemed all too appropriate.
Below are two images of the girl, taken from different angles. In the ANtics, she's distraught over the disastrous at-bats we've seen from Crosby of late. But that's my interpretation... what are yours?

Is she playing hide and seek with the offense?
If so, she'll never find it. If it's supposed to be finding her, she'll be hiding for a long time, since the offense can't count past zero on most nights.
Or, maybe she got a boo-boo and is hiding from Larry Davis.
If I can't see him, then he can't see me!
That is so funny!
I literally laughed out loud.

Billy dumped us for soccer.
Celebrating Swisher Hair-Cap Day
this little girl and 15,000 other lucky fans donned A's caps lined with Nick Swisher's luscious locks, longing for the pre-haircut days of May (.500-ball and 3-out from first), all the while hoping to ward off losses of all kinds, hair and baseball alike (sponsored by Pantene).

"At least now I can't see that hideous red wall."
This child
This child is a direct physical manifestation of the A's offense. A crying little girl who may as well have her eyes closed.
