Who kidnapped our ss?
Whoever they are....give em what they want to keep him. I like this new guy so much better.

I could weep for what could have been...
I hope this is where he turns it around.

Was she still married to Roe Messner?

yes
She seemed well, as well as can be on Larry King. She died well.

Curious now...
was she sick?

WTF what team am I watching
all these bunts. Here's my theory, Geren knows that BB is reading up on soccer prospects and how to put a team together and has caught him napping meanwhile the A's do what a mediocre/bad hitting team has to do.

by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 21, 2007 8:10 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Talking about the Ramon+T-Long to Padres
for Kotsay deal. Ray said how happy they were to have Kotsay, and Glen said, "sometimes you have to give up some major league talent...which the A's did in Ramon Hernandez."

Crap.
The O's scored, time for Casillas.

and then gave up the 0-2 hit to make up for it
by marco magic on Jul 21, 2007 8:13 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
That almost took Danny's head off.
by Jennifer on Jul 21, 2007 8:13 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
I know the "sell high" theory would say trade
Casilla but we would have one hell of a bullpen if we keep him, Duke and Street. They would be as good as anyone elses and, combined with out starters, we wouldn't need a great offense to compete for a long time.
by ohtobe21likehuston on Jul 21, 2007 8:19 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Please don't talk about trading Casilla!
It pains me to think of it.
by IM4Oakgal on Jul 21, 2007 8:20 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Hey, even I'm wavering
(and I brought it up). I love bullpen depth. Street, Duke, Casilla would be mucho sweet.

Yes it would be primo.
Especially if Duke comes back and pitches like he used to.
by IM4Oakgal on Jul 21, 2007 8:22 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I honestly believe our offense will accidentally
get better than what it is right now too. I mean 4 runs a game would probaly win the division.

Did you see Rotoworld?
Nick Swisher said he didn't expect to miss more than a game or two with a bruised right shoulder sustained Friday.

Critical inning for Embree's trade value
A week with 3-4 saves would do wonders for his marketability.
And, yes, I do realize that would require a week with 3-4 leads. And, yes, I do realize that's unlikely.

Showed Cust's shot again...
The ball actually looks like it takes a ballistic trajectory right of his bat.
Thinking happy thoughts here.

bye the bye...
"Why should we care about Tammy Faye? To me, she highlights the fact that the social foundations of evangelical Christianity as a political movement are tenuous at best. Her ex-husband caused a lot of pain to a lot of people by using organized religion to fuel his obsession with power and money. And yet after all of that, Tammy Faye was able to rehabilitate her own public image and draw attention to the fact that not all evangelical Christians were bigots. She definitely was quirky, but I have to say that I found her to be a sympathetic figure later in her life.
May she rest in peace."
"Tammy Faye has also been known as one of the few evangelical Christians who had the support of the gay community. She was one of the first televangelists to reach out to those with AIDS when it was a little-known and much-feared disease. In return, she told King in July, "When I went -- when we lost everything, it was the gay people that came to my rescue, and I will always love them for that."

there sure are a lot of GM's on AN lately
you all seem to know exactly the trade value of everyone and how their channelsurfing ability endears them to the Devil Rays etc.
Give it a rest.

The more Suzuki holds the pitch...
Let the ump make the call, Kurt. Hold it for a moment if you're trying to frame it, but when you start holding it for two seconds you're showing up the ump and he's probably going to be less likely to give you a borderline pitch next time.
Someone needs to tell him to cut that out.

Piazza does a great interview...
interesting comments. Cust is going to be a regular in the lineup it appears. So is Chavez....I can't believe I'm saying this, but we may end up with at least a winning season.

KenKo talking about how he like the lineup
tonight and I thought the same thing. Put the struggling hitters down until they prove otherwise. Crosby shouldn't bat any higher than 8th for a while IMO.

omg
in the ending montage of the tv broadcast, they showed a little girl bobbling the bobblehead and the head fell off
