the official bosox/halladay diary
if the jays lose this, they are done for the season
but between the indians, m's, and darkhorse twinkies, yanks and a's, there's no one else to take it.
as a's fans, this game is also meaningful - the jays are one of 4 teams that could still make it interesting in the race for the card. it's also just an interesting game for fans of baseball, in that it possesses a touch of potentially career-altering performances. are boston the obvious champs this year, and is halladay's climbing ERA (4.44) a bad sign, especially when combined with a recent trip to the DL?
or is that ERA going to climb back under 4 as big frank helps them swipe that card from cleveland?

Cleveland or Detroit, whoever doesn't win
the division.
What about KC if they don't win the division?

This game isnt until tomorrow...
And it is one game, no one is "done for the season" due to one loss.
toronto is more or less done if they can't win
with Halladay on the mound. they'll be under .500 with four teams in front of them for the card - a card which will probably be a 91 win ticket.
Just as the A's are going nowhere fast unless Haren is perfect from here on out.
One game CAN turn around a season, much as Loaiza's win in SF sparked the eventual postseason run last year.
Where Am I?
What is this post, with its unhinged, overwrought, hysterical premise doing on an A's site?
What's next a "biting my nails to the quick" breakdown of a Padres-Astros game in which everything is at stake because Roy Oswalt is on the hill
thomas just got an rbi
it is definitely an a's thread.
I am so confused.
What are we talking about? Bottom Line Up Front.
