AN Day 4 - Deadline Approaching!

Well, we have received the first batch of tickets for AN Day 4. If you were part of that group, those will be mailed within the week.

We still have room for more AN'ers to come meet new friends, enjoy an A's BBQ, and cheer for our team against the hated Angels.

AN Day is on August 4th at 12:55 PM, and the game will even be shown on FOX.

I am still accepting reservations for this event; you can buy your tickets via Paypal for the really reasonable price of $32 each. My address is baseballgirl1976 @ hotmail.com (no spaces). Please include your AN username and your shipping address. If you need to make alternate arrangements for payment, please email me ASAP.

I will be accepting ticket reservations until the seats are gone, or until June 15th at noon, whichever comes first.

We already have six states represented by our AN faithful, including a Midwest roadtrip. These events have been so fun in the past, and we want everyone to come!

So...sign up now!

Good times will be had by all ...

except for me, as I will not be there this year ... actually I will be having good times, on a little road trip of my own.

That weekend is my gf's g-rents 50th, so we'll be in Michigan for that.

I'll be going early and staying late, though, flying through Chicago and making stops in Milwaukee and Detroit, taking in games in four ballparks ...

If anyone has any particular advice on Wrigley, New Comiskey, Comerica or Miller ...

cell, wrigley and comerica

the cell: I'd recommend sitting in the outfield (NOT the bleachers though) as the infield seats just aren't angled enough and are kind of uncomfortable.  The closer to the bullpens the better.
wrigley: awful cubs "fans", obstructed views outside of the first ten rows and the outfield, awful variety in food, but other than that a good time.  Hit up clark street and the Ivy on Clark if you're into that.
For both Chi-town parks, the "el" is the way to go, fast, cheap and safe
comerica: at all times stay within a two block radius of the park as it is downtown detroit.  Kind of an amusement type park, but a good time.
Dont know if you care but beer seat service as follows:
the cell-miller lite
wrigley-old style and bud light
comerica-miller lite

no subject
in Wrigley, I like sitting in the second deck down the right field line, and then sneaking down to something better in the 7th.

I have to second that the bleacher fans in Comiskey are a bunch of bottom feeders, and are best avoided.  Go find a group of fans rooting for the visiting club and go sit with them.  They don't care too much about upgrading your seat in Comiskey, as long as you're not doing anything blatant.

He hasn't actually moved yet, but he's found a place there.  Unless he changes his mind at the last minute.

You know...

I'm sure those condos are going to be built with all sorts of hidden sensors everywhere.  Go to the bathroom too often and you'll start getting coupons for Pepto-Bismol in the mail.  Don't go often enough, and you'll get coupons for Aquafina, and articles about kidney failure will automatically be bookmarked on your computer.

I might go

I am not a joiner sort of person, really, so likely I would just sit by myself wondering why I never learned chatty skills.

But...this team is starting to grow on me.  At first I was just down on it all'n all, we can't win every year, the Angels are hungry and rich as hell, and of course our players soon went down like ripe what under a combine.

Yet they still pitch like gods.  The have eerie ninth inning/walk-off power.

The gods are very, very pleased with the cycle of MaEl. The team got big-time mojo from that.

I dunno.  I recently went to some web thing and it was the same--a bunch of guys standing arounding looking glum 'cause there was no one to talk to.  AN isn't like that, of course not, but...

Hey BBG, would you mind confirming you got it? PayPal makes me a little nervous and I just want to make sure everything processed smoothly! Thanks!
