Mariners vs. Angels- Game Thread
Well as a celebration that May is now over combined with the win today, I thought it was okay to come out and post and in-game thread diary that affects the division. The Mariners are currently trying like hell to make up the deficit and have cut it to 4-3 as of now. Let's see if our end to May can end with a Mariner victory and get us a little closer, as Hawk would say, to the "bad guys."

played a key role in the music that was chosen for Almost Famous. Peter Frampton taught the actors how to play the instruments too.

in the Jays-Yanks tilt?

Who won?
by ohtobe21likehuston on May 30, 2007 8:55 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Yanks.
In the top of the ninth, Posada hit a high popup to the left side that should have been the third out. As A-Rod was rounding the bases, he passed directly behind the third baseman and in front of the shortstop. Just as the ball was about to tbe caught by the third baseman, he inexplicably looked back at the shortstop, and the ball dropped between them.
The third baseman started jawing with A-Rod, apparently claiming that A-Rod yelled something ("I got it"?) to distract him as the ball landed. Gibbons came out, umpires had to separate some players, the catcher started mouthing off to Giambi...good times.

AP Recap
Replays showed Rodriguez shouting something, and Clark backed off at the last second. McDonald was only a few steps behind Clark, but couldn't make the catch and ball dropped for an RBI single.
"I just said, 'Hah!' That's it," Rodriguez said. "Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't."
McDonald started jawing with Rodriguez, and third base umpire Chad Fairchild got between them. Toronto manager John Gibbons came out to argue, and exchanged words with Rodriguez and third base coach Larry Bowa before leaving the field as plate umpire Eric Cooper intervened. Rodriguez stayed on the bag with a smirk.

Random question. Do you ever imagine that every
player speaks perfect English whether they have an accent or speak another language? I know what Kiko sounds like, for instance, but I always think that he would speak perfect English sans accent whenever I see him on the mound. Stupid I know... but please tell me I'm not alone??

by ohtobe21likehuston on May 30, 2007 9:26 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Bases loaded. Pop up beyond short that is caught
and Dino sends the runner on a tag-up. The throw from Yuni hits the side of the mound and LAA scores. It was a very shallow play and the runner could have easily been gunned down. Last year... they would have been thrown out.

well... hoping to see a comeback off K-rod but
