Midwest AN Day 5/10/07 - The Video Diary

PrintIt seemed a video "diary" might be a cool way to let some of the AN members out there see what it's like to be at "The K" for a baseball game. This video is short but sweet, as it was a fantastic 17-3 A's beatdown of the Royals. I know that Nebraska was taking pictures, and smith1051 might also have some to add to this thread. And Jennifer, even though she doesn't like us, might have some to add, too. All in all, it was another good series win for your Oakland A's. Sadly, they don't make it back to K.C. this year, but a group of us are making the journey out to Oakland for the official AN Day against the Angels. Hope you guys enjoy the video. the program we used to edit the video...
wasn't the best, but we could either have music or the sound from the video. I thought the Libertines was a good choice to showcase the Midwest AN crew. Once I get a little more time I will mess around and make another cut from the stuff we had in the parking lot, b/c there is some funny stuff in it.

It's a little late...
...but I was only a lurker on AN last year. Thanks for letting me crash your tailgate party last August. (I brought a 6-pack of Boulevard and traded for some of your ribs, IIRC.) I had a great time in KC that weekend...saw 4 A's-Royals games, visited the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, saw a Bruce Cockburn show at the Grand Emporium which is a little hole-in-the-wall club down near the Plaza, all between Friday afternoon and Monday morning.
KC is on my list for a future return visit, and I'll recommend it to anyone else who is thinking about doing an A's weekend on the road.

I've always heard that KC had a great stadium and now I really want to go there sometime.

Usually, it's a CGI scoreboard game. That day was special because of School Day at the K. They are giving away Hot Dog Derby shirts again this year. This time they say "Who's You Dog?" on the back. Last year's just had "Mustard," "Relish," and "Ketchup" written on the front.
Well I guess I'm not smart enough to post...
pictures anymore since they keep getting cropped when I try to post them. I've even resized them w/ Photoshop and AN still keeps cropping them. Anybody want to help?

awesome vid. i woke alison the basset, however,
by shouting too loud "ok i get the parking lot. now, get into the game." the centerfield thing is definitely a big centerfield thing.
