Goleski returned to Indians
Hadn't seen this posted anywhere yet. According to Rotoworld:
Athletics returned Rule-5 outfielder Ryan Goleski to the Indians.
Even with Mark Kotsay down, the A's opted to return Goleski, who hit just .152/.184/.174 in 46 at-bats this spring. The 25-year-old Goleski will likely open the season in Double-A.

He was worth a shot. Wish he had performed like Josh Hamilton in Spring Training.

goleski's not too happy about it
He didn't hide his disappointment, nor his unhappiness with the Indians, saying, "I thought the whole Rule-5 thing was a way to get out of Cleveland. . . .I wonder why Cleveland wants me back. I don't even know if they have a spot for me at Triple-A or Double-A. It doesn't make sense -- don't say you want to to hold on to me and then say you don't have a position for me."

I feel bad for him.
It would have been cool to see him at AAA and later given a chance. I hope he still makes it for someone.
Yeah, like when we
If I were the Indians brass,
I'd give pause to the statements he's made and rethink his value to the team. I don't know if he's the kind of guy that has a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances or will spend the first part of the year sulking. It seems he really is a talent (although he didn't show it in spring training), but his approach from this point forward will determine whether he has a productive career--with the Indians, A's, or anyone else. Personally, I still think he'll be back with the A's at some point and will be a useful cog in the machinery.
