I knew his ERA is atrocious, but I didn't realize that Kennedy allowed 31 friggin hits in 9.2 innings.

I will bet on the A's for the WS.

At some point earlier this spring, there was distress due to the A's being near the bottom in terms of team HRs. Well, after yesterday's game, we are now tied with the Yankees for spring training home runs. I think that if we can keep up with NYY for team home runs all season, then we'll be doing pretty well.

And just in case you thought this has any predictive value, the team with the most spring HRs is the offensive juggernaut from San Diego.

But I have never liked him as a starter. To quote one of may favorite Bill King adjectives, Kennedy's career numbers are "pedestrian."

I just don't see him getting through the batting order the second time around...Something he clearly never had to deal with as a reliever. I think the numbers bear this out.

every year we play 3 exebition games against the Giants. Every year, 2 are at SF and 1 is at Oakland. Why?

that other teams are not allowed to use the DH vs Kennedy while we are allowed to use it.

Seems to be the only thing that helps him pitch decently.....

If most teams watched him, they won't be able to stash him on the 25 man roster, unless you are a very bad team to begin with.

how much melhuse strikes out.  i know he doesn't play much, but striking out 20-30% of at bats is not a good thing.

texas pitchers have given up 21 runs today.  3 of their pitchers have era's over 10 and millwood is 9.35.  i know pitching is their issue but sheesh.
