Two-run double
Crosby giving them outs, Blanton must be p'od!

many players I have seen in Sac over the last few years. Byrnes/German was a great leadoff duo. Many a pitcher went crazy throwing over to first.

Teahan's RBI single
Flores fooled him with a slider, but left it sort of center-in, so even though Teahan was on his front foot, he just dropped the head of his bat and lined it to center.
Nice hitting, but Flores leaving that ball where he did is the kind of thing that makes him a AAAA player.
And the pitch to Brown
is what makes him a AAA pitcher.

Praise for Cotroneo in absentia
It's easy for me to groan about Vince -- when I hear KenKo's voice, I'm still somehow always expecting to hear the King, and though I try not to compare them, my subconscious pays no attention to me. But man, in the ALDS last year, when Kots hit that inside-the-parker ... and when Scoot hit that double down the line....
And I love Ray Fosse, really I do, but Foss doing play-by-play on the radio is all I need to remind me that you never know what you have until it's gone. Can we start the regular season soon?

Incidentally, this ump looks like he has a pretty small strike zone. I missed the first 15 runs or so, but I'll bet he played a role in everyone's wonderful hitting night.
