Dates for AN day 2008???? Any ideas.........????

Well, I am looking to plan out my summer soon.

I know it's early!!!!

My wife is a school teacher so we are planning our summer.

We have gone to every An day except the first year.  I am not even sure if there was even one then.

My wife and I have made it an annual getaway from the kids weekend.

We have such a good time at the game we always wish it would spill over to some sportsbar or something in the evening when it's over.

We are planning a trip up North this summer to see my sister in Tacoma.

We are looking at doing this in July but, we haven't set a date yet.

I know, I know, it's early and todate they still haven't posted any of the promotions yet on the A's site.

But, I am just curious what fellow Aners out there might be thinking?

I just don't want to miss this event if I can help it.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year's.

Mike Heath

Whenever it is

I probably wont make it because Blez hates me and always holds AN Day in Oakland of all places...lame!

DiNardo: Hey Kurt, do you eat babies? Suzuki: Yes.

I'd e-mail Blez ...

as he might be willing to take a guess privately, but not publicly ...

Absent that, a weekend when the A's are home in early August or late July is probably your best bet ... I'd guess either the 26th/27th of July v Texas or 16th/17th of August v ChiSox. I'd say either of those have about a 40/40 chance with a 20% chance it's another weekend entirely.

No not really yet....

I'm just trying to get a feel for what other people are thinking.

It looks like my family and I are going to have a busy summer.

Just looking to fellow Aners out there for some ideas so that I can leave one or two weekends available and then just hope it lands on one of them.

Last year it worked out really good because

we did it after the trade deadline.  Other than that, I'm not sure when it's going to be just yet.  We'll be having a vote coming soon.

We usually put up a poll

A few people really want an early-year AN Day, but almost always, a date in late July/August wins out, probably because thats when most people are out of school, or on vacation, or can get off work for a weekend.

Well, I always hope to make it...having

only been to the first two.  Will be tracking if you plan on going...so I can bring my list of complaints to present.
