Everything You Wanted to Know About A's Payroll
Thanks to Bill Simmons for posting a similar link to the Boston Red Sox page: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/links/071227
Doing a little digging on the Cot's page (clicking on the A's link), I found the same page about our boys. Pretty interesting stuff.

My favorites include:
Chavvy is on the hook for $11 mil plus a .5 million bonus this year. He also has veto rights to TOR MON TB NYM MIN MIL FL CLE
Ellis only got $1,000 signing bonus.
Harden has an escalator for innings pitched (smart move).
It actually says Casilla was formerly known as Jairo. Classic.

I don't think Chavy's going to Montreal.
Anybody know if that no-trade clause carries over to Washington? I'd imagine it does.
Not that it matters. He's not going to the Nationals. Unless they want to go, like, Chavez-Zimmerman straight-up.
Bowden wouldn't do that, though, unless he was really really drunk. Which is actually a possibility. I'll pick up the tab.
chavvy
should have full no trade protection. he's a 10/5 player or whatever they call it.
Chavez debuted in September of 1998
Why does his 10/5 thing go into effect in July?

Because I only remembered half the conversation
We talked about this last summer and determined that Chavez could get traded through July 2008 before his 10/5 kicked in.
My apologies for the confusion.
Dammit
Got there before I did.
Show up your bullet points!
oops, I mean 'us'
if casilla develops a new pitch
he should call it a jairo-ball.
hmmm
Does it change names half way to home plate?

Man...
We were so hyped on him while he was skyrocketing through the system. We had cheering section signs all picked out.
"Jairo-Maniacs"
"The Jai-Rollers"
"The Jai-Society"
Anyone else?
Jai a lie
A's salary web page
