Deacquisitioning some bobbleheads
I am moving -- from the AN-friendly city of AlbANy to the similarly AN-friendly city of SAN LeANdro -- and I find myself no longer in need of most of my bobblehead collection. In advance of my garage sale next weekend, I offer the following for FREE to any ANers who desire to augment their collection. I will ship them to NRAFs if necessary, but I might not get around to it for a while. None of them are in pristine condition, they have been sitting on top of some kitchen cabinets and/or placed in positions of honor on the TV during crucial games, but particular defects are noted.
Reply in comments. Don't be greedy, just take one, unless you are Jennifer and are planning another diorama, First come first served. UPDATED!
- Zito 2002 Cy Young bobblehead. Has a bunch of marks on one side of his face....I'm not really sure why.
GONE! to awesomer.
- Dye bobblehead.
GONE! to jpl
- Tejada bobblehead missing its spring, so the head doesn't bobble but just sits there sadly on his shoulders.
GONE! to EckFan
- Mulder-Zito-Huddy-Ramon nesting dolls. I guess the wood has expanded, because they won't nest any more.
GONE! to Justin
- Haren 2006 bobblehead,, in the original box but without the original inside packaging.
GONE! to Shippee33
- Tiny Torii Hunter Twins mini-bobblehead, with the head pulled off (but still included).....useful for casting hexes?
GONE! to AthletixMan, although I hope your dad has a good sense of humor, what with the head being pulled off this tiny bobblehead, it might not be the greatest present ever. Perhaps I can throw in a few other Minnesota relics that are in the pile of garage sale items.
I will email you all to arrange pickup or delivery.
And I can't imagine why no one has spoken up for:
- Russ Ortiz Gnats bobblehead, 2002 group leader giveaway. Because someone at my old office organized a trip to the Gnats and gave me the damn thing....although Oritz does have a rather endearing expression on his face.
- Tiny Benito Santiago Gnats mini-bobblehead of plastic, from Carl's Jr....useful for your steroid hall of fame displays?

Ooh, ooh!
I'll be in California for the next couple weeks (starting Monday).
I'd love Zito, though I'd take a Dye bobbleleg if you had one.

You have Miggy
I didn't see an email address in your profile, so look for mine and email me your mailing address, if you're not in the 510 vicinity.

Bobbleheads
I'm going back down to San Diego in a couple weeks, but I'm in NorCal for now.
I'd LOVE the Zito bobblehead, but if that's already gone, could we work something out for the nesting dolls? My email is in my profile. Thanks!

I would love the Torii Hunter
My dad grew up in MN, so would be great to give it to such a great father. Who has done so much for me.

I too have bobbleheads who need a new home.
My plan is to sort through my collection and give away the doubles. I plan to do this during my Christmas vacation next week, As soon as I finish, I'll post a thread also. They will also be free.

Hope I catch the diary!
I'm in NRAF territory as far as shipping goes, but if I can find a way to pay you guys to ship them to me that would be awesome. This is cool you guys are doing this for other A's fans :)

Doggone it
Whenever I take a day off from the boards this kind of thing happens.
I have been to countless games over the last 30 years but never once have I gotten an A's bobblehead. MY husband does not like to wait in lines so we rarely go to the games in time to get the popular toys. But we do have 4 Giant's Bobbleheads. For some reason you can come 30 mins early and still get a Bobblehead at phone company park. So we have gotten a few of those. Maybe that will be my resolution for 2008! Succeeding in becoming an A's Bobblehead owner!
BTW? It was very nice of English Major to offer the bobblehead's to ANers. So few people can resist making a buck on collectibles...props to you E.M.

Fie on the Croesus-like Englishmajor!
There she sits, cathedralling her fingers like Monty Burns, and chortling over the heartless downsizing of her bobblehead collection. We all knew this "move" (if it even happens, which I doubt) is just an excuse for her to profit-take and field an inferior on-counter talent collection (look: she's already reduced washed-up former Giants!). Sure, she talks a good game about putting herself in a position to rebuild her bobblehead collection someday, but I'm sure this is merely a Loriaesque ploy to gain public funds for a wholesale franchise shift. "Garage sale," indeed!
Now, where'd I put that pruno ...

You fermented it too long
And clearly it became too acidic by accident.

I call that process FURmentation
Beane, of course, uses Fuhrmantation.

Russ Ortiz bobblehead
I would love to add this to my collection! He and Hudson were my favorite pitchers earlier this decade.
