It looks like the Mariners are going to give Carlos Silva 44 Million, for 4 years.

For the Mariners, the signing of Silva would put them halfway toward their goal of adding two starting pitchers this off-season. They also are pursuing Orioles left-hander Erik Bedard in a trade.

Rob Neyer: (1:03 PM ET ) I like the big prospects the A's got, but unless Haren gets hurt or something, it's a great deal for the A's only if some of the lower-level prospects develop into useful major leaguers.
