Connor Robertson
It is important to note the loss of our prospect Robertson. Arizona's GM said today something along the lines that they were reluctant to complete the deal because of the talent they were loosing, however the other trades they made today helped to recover that loss. My guess is that Robertson was included to help Arizona's GM get some type of prospect back in the deal. What concerns me is that Robertson has potential. In 4 minor league seasons, he totaled 234 innings, with a 2.81 ERA, 199 H, 93BB, and 311 SO. While minor league success obviously does not guarantee major league success, it is a bummer to give up a solid prospect when we are trying to rebuild. Yet it seems like other teams are not so high on him. Am I missing something? Thoughts?

Also, he's
a reliever.
The thing is
If you made a list of all the players in this trade, Robertson by far is the worst prospect there is. I wouldn't get real concerned about losing the guy.
you got five good answers
MoneyMan you are not alone
I too was disappointed to lose Robertson. I thought he could have been a decent member of our bullpen. But I think losing him was worth it to make the trade happen.
Robertson would have been a good guy to keep
But it's not like we don't have a lot of potential coming back.
Exactly
I was a fan of Robertson. He didn't pitch well after that line drive busted his pitching hand but I thought he'd bounce back next year.
Still, you don't let Connor Robertson get in the way of completing that deal.
Won't be shocked...
if Robertson winds up having a better MLB career than most of that pu-pu plater of B/C grade prospects.
