Mitchell Report

When I saw the Mitchell Report I was surprised that there were some names that were not listed.  There have been quite a few players that I thought they may have used steroids in their careers.  Some of the players include:  Tony Batista (spelling former A's player), Ron Gant, Brett Boone. Adrian Beltre, Ruben Sierra, Felix Jose, Brady Anderson and Luis Gonzalez.

I know don't have any proof, but all you have to do is look at their stats and wonder.

That is pure speculation and wishful thinking

not fats.

But anyways, many, many more players probably did steroids or hgh, but they really only had TWO new sources, both in New York.

Exactly as Zonis says

Those dudes just have different suppliers.  Off the record people are saying up to 80% of MLBers were juicing.

Funny they only named a handful...

Everytime

a player goes from average career statistics to an allstar year you wonder . . .

Andy Pettite admits to HGH use

on only two occasions in 2002, to help recover quickly from an injury. He went to that trainer instead of to a doctor to get a prescription. He also apologized.

This is probably one of the first of many excuses/apologies we are likely to see.

By the way, I got this from El Nuevo Día, a Spanish language daily in Puerto Rico. I've included the link, for those of you who read Spanish. I imagine this will also appear in English in various papers.

Yes, I imagine many others

to follow soon.  Right now, they are probably figuring out how to exactly phrase it.

I want to know how exactly David Ortiz wasn't in

the report.  The guy is a gorilla with tendon problems, a common side effect of steroids.

Oh yeah, a Boston owner headed the report...

My shock has lessened...

Bret Boone

was among those named by Jose Canseco.  I think there's little doubt he was using.  He just happens to be absent from the Mitchell Report.  As has been noted numerous times, the Mitchell Report doesn't presume to be a complete list.

I'm not aware of any evidence on the other guys you mention, though that doesn't mean they weren't using too.

interesting diagram detailing

the connections that furnished the information for the Mitchell Report -- and includes his own connections to MLB as well
