Gettin' Ziggy With It - Kaylin has arrived!!

She's finally here!!!

Kaylin Brooke Ziegler was born on Wednesday, October 24th, at 4:58 PM. She weighed 5 lbs, 7 oz. (yes, she's TINY!!) and was 18 and 1/2 inches long. Both Kaylin and her mama are doing very well - 100% healthy. They were able to leave the hospital together on Friday afternoon. We're extremely excited, extremely happy, and extremely tired, all at once! :) It's great being a daddy.

Also, I noticed that Blez mentioned that I had signed a minor league contract with the A's. I'm very happy with the contract, and I eagerly await the opportunity to try to make the big league team out of spring training.

Here are a few of the hundreds of pictures taken over the weekend of my newborn daughter...

Congratulations, Ziggy!

This is so awesome.  Buckle up because it goes so quickly.  My daughter will be three in January and I'm betting that most ANers remember the day she was born!

Wow, congrats on both accounts!

She's a beautiful baby, and congrats on the new contract too!

I love how nonchalant you Zieglers look before and after the birth.  Just another day...

Congratulations Brad

That's awesome.  She's darling.  And I saw Urban mention your name on his mailbag column as a possibility for the pen next year.  I along with the rest of AN are pulling hard for ya.  Till then, enjoy fatherhood!  All the best.

My name is not Raul. It is RaulHuKilledU. Or just Sean if you want.

I get to pick it out if/when we have a boy :)

Congratulations, Brad

And I hope to see you pitching at the Oakland Coliseum some time next year.

Hey, if you get a chance, would love to hear your take on the 2007 World Series, or at least what you might have gotten a chance to see. Do you think the lay-off affected the Rockies, or were the Red Sox just the better team? How do you feel when you see someone like Okijima pitch, or Josh Beckett?

A first grandchild is so special and you know you won't ever want for sitters! Thanks for sharing pictures. I hope you keep doing it after April when you become the new go to guy on the A's. {smile}

Way to go, Ziggy!

Baby girls are awesome, and I've got two. Well, they're not babies anymore.

Congrats to you and the wife. Did you feel your heart stretch to a size you didn't know was possible when you first saw your daughter? I remember that feeling well. You're going to love being a dad, and I bet you'll be a great one. She's too cute!

Good times!

Lots of late evenings ahead for you.  First two months aren't bad....but by late January you'll be having difficulty keeping the gleam out of your eyes when you and the wife talk about ST.

I have three daughters who are just about grown and gone.  The time passes so quickly and nowadays I contemplate Butterfly Kisses that seemed like yesterday.

The stakes just went up on that right arm of yours.  Go get em.

WHAT A PRETTY GIRL!!  Congrats!!

Save that glove....and show her when she's grown up how she started out in Dad's hand and then give her a big hug with that glove around her.  AWESOME.
