Rollie's Taxes

According to a story from the Associated Press and a blog about Wisconsin politics, former A's pitcher Rollie Fingers is the single largest income-tax debtor in the state of Wisconsin.  Rollie's blog makes no mention of this interesting tidbit of news, but does contain an article blasting Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and various other aging players for not having retired.

"The taxman's
taken all my doe and left me in my stately home...blaz'in on the sunny afternoon..." Whoever guesses the band who wrote this song wins an illusionary prize--I'm not offering Jennifer this time.

The Kinks
"Sunny Afternoon," penultimate song of their Face to Face album (1966).  Except the line is "lazin' on a sunny afternoon," not "blazin'" (and I'm pretty sure Ray is singing "dough" (as in money) not "doe" (as in deer, a female deer)).

Thanks
for those corrections.  Sometimes I'm just too lazy to check my spelling--well--more than sometimes I admit. Good job, Nick and again thank you.

For the obsessive Kinks fan
check out The Unofficial Kinks Web Site run for years by Dave Emlen, which includes a complete discography and great lyrics page (including lyrics search option).  He also updates news and tour dates.

We should start an AN Piggy Bank
to help the Rollie out of his $1.4 million (or as expressed on AN as MM) debt.

Yeah, I'll do that.

But the burning question is really...
