Pathetically Late Diary- ST photos

I know it's crazy to post pictures from Spring Training now but I did put the time into taking them so I wanted to share them with the good people of AN. I hope you enjoy them.

To anyone who has not attended ST before you must find a way to do so in the near future. The people that attend these games are some of the best folks you'll ever meet. Baseball fans, as a whole, are like no other fans IMO. I was offered free tickets on two separate days while entering the A's facility and someone bought me a beer another day. I hung out with people who supported nearly every team in the Cactus League because it's such a great time of "hope" before all things go bad- i.e.- the Angels in 1995.

Get to Phoenix in 2007 and I promise you won't regret it! Here are the photos...

Great pics!

'06 was our first year at Spring Training as well and we will definitely make the trip again next year. The only bad side to our trip was we managed to pick the weekend where it rained for the first time in something like half a year and the Saturday full squad game against the Giants was rained out. On the upside we got to attend Duchscherer's charity event that same evening which was AWESOME!

that was the same weekend that I went

I also went to the charity event. I made a week trip of Spring Trainig. Drove to the Grand Canyon (27 degrees!!!), on to Sedona for 2 days (snowed on me there), visited friends in Gilbert on Thursday (just outside of Phoenix) and drove home on Monday. Going again in 2007 . . .had a ball even with the rainout.

Baseball is life. . . at least that is what my sweatshirt says.

I go to the Final Four every year so I prefer to put a space of time in between those two events. It would be great if we could go to one of the A's events!

Where do you stay? I will be in Gilbert, AZ but might stay in Tempe a couple of nights too.

The last time I went

I stayed at the Crowne Pkaza which I got a great deal on thru priceline. this time I'm gouing to try to trade in my timeshare to get there. Nebraskas dates were dependent on spring break and he was going to stay (I believe) at his grandmothers timeshare.
