The Ballad of the Tallahassee A's Fan.

Well, my names Rayne, and ever since one fateful day some odd years ago (It was the year after Wade Boggs retired, I think it was 2000)  I have been a die hard A's fan.  My father and I had originally gone to watch my first MLB game, and Tampa was the only place we could get to (My dad didn't wanna goto downtown Atlanta).  Anyways, so the day I went down there I bought this program, and all the TB D-rays baseball cards, and was anxiously waiting to get some autographs and meet some real MLB players.  Well, it so happens that the D-rays were not the friendliest people around, as they did not even say hello to myself or anyone around me.  My tickets were actually for the visitors dugout side of the foul line, so I had to walk back to my dad to sit down and get ready to watch the game.  On my way back I see 2 pitchers walking by in their jackets, and I say whats up.  These were two players from the other team, a team I knew little about, the Oakland A's.  I was either 12 or 13 at the time, and they were extremely friendly asking things about me like what positions I played, and so on and so forth.  It was pretty cool.  So after about a good 3-4 minutes they said they had to go but to make the A's my favorite team (Earlier in the discussion I had told them that I didn't really have a favorite team, I just really liked playing and watching baseball.)  So, I agreed and have kept my allegiance to the team ever since.  BTW the two players were Tim Hudson and someone else I couldnt remember, so even though they aren't there anymore I still remember the kindness and encouragment they showed me that day.  Haha, this might seem like a goofy story but I figured I'd write something because...

For the first time since that day I will be seeing my A's play live in person, in TB this friday saturday and sunday, (Haren Loaiza and Zito).  I can't wait, and I have even decided to make a sign for the Loiaza day, something about being sorry for hating him soo much.

So anyways, if for any reason anyone from the Athletics nation is going to be attending, hit me up, cause this is what I am going to call, the SouthEast AN day which has probably already been trademarked or something but its all good (Sorry..)  ;)  Anyways, Go A's!!!
